HeadStartup is always on the lookout for writers who can assist with the research and review of Internet tools and apps for entrepreneurs, freelancers and startups. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial in spirit, possess a keen understanding of web apps, and already know a few of the 'go-to' sites to identify great tools and resources for startups and entrepreneurs.

 

So, what will you do?

 

Assist the HeadStartup crew with identifying and reviewing all of the best-of-breed web-based tools, apps and resources for entrepreneurs, freelancers and startups.

 

1. Search out new web apps using the following resources: social networks, blogs, events, news outlets, etc.
2. 'Test Drive' Apps to determine appropriate category within HeadStartup, ease-of-use, cost, etc.
3. Prepare and post a brief review of the app on HeadStartup.com and then drive discussion via social networks.

 

Are you a fit?

 

We absolutely obsess over the anything and everything web-based... chances are if something lives or works in a browser, we know about it. Do you have that same passion for all things web?

 

Do you have that entrepreneurial spirit?

 

• Are you excited about cloud computing, web apps and mobile?
• Are you familiar with Twitter? Mashable and TechCrunch? Techmeme?
• Can you work independently?
• Do you have great research/writing skills?
• For some serious extra credit... do you know Hacker News?

Yes. You'll have a permanent author page at yourname.headstartup.com along with your full bio, and links to any websites/blogs/social networks. An ongoing list of your published articles can also reside on your author page.
