GoogleDocs Writer is a web-based alternative to Microsoft Word. All files on GoogleDocs are stored on Google’s servers, and can be modified from any computer with the proper login credentials. In terms of sharing, document owners can grant access to anyone both for viewing and editing. GoogleDocs writer is a capable word processor, but not quite up to par with Word. GoogleDocs is a free service, like its alternatives Zoho and OpenOffice.
